Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Botswana

October 2013

Khama Rhino Sanctuary is located near Serowe in Botswana. The sanctuary covers over 8,500 hectares and was established in 1992 as a community based project in response to the dwindling Rhino numbers.

While we only saw the White Rhino during this trip, we did get to get a clear view of them, which wasn't common from our past experiences.

The sanctuary also is home to 30 other animal species and 230 species of bird, making it a worthwhile spot to stop if travelling overland.
